how a call works
Sign up once.
Text the number, prove you are 18+ with an ID and a selfie check, and agree to the recording. A phone number is the account.
Call.
FaceTime the number, or press talk in a browser. A voice says “this call is recorded.” Then you are paired.
Talk, or skip.
The other side is another caller or someone on the web. Say “next” or text next to move on. Hang up to stop.
Keep in touch?
After the call you both get a text: keep in touch with quiet-heron? Only a mutual yes counts. A one-sided yes is never shown.
Call back later.
Text call quiet-heron. If they say yes too, both of you get rung into the same room.
it gets less random
The first calls are a coin toss. Each one after that teaches the line a little about what you talk about and who you stay on with. Some randomness stays, on purpose: the point is still to meet someone you would not have picked.
